How Is Your Relationship With God?

How Is Your Relationship With God?

If You Don’t Pay Attention, There’s a High Risk Your Relationship With God Will Fall Into the Category of “Out of Sight, Out of Mind”

Absence makes the heart grow fonder” and “out of sight, out of mind” are two common says you must have heard.

We associate both of these sayings with relationships forced apart by distance. Whatever the cause, placing distance (even temporary) increases the tension in a relationship.

Will absence make the heart grow fonder or does out of sight really mean out of mind?

I think it can be both.

Temporary distance can make the heart grow fonder. But if you add more time and distance, there is a real risk the relationship will fall into the category of "out of sight, out of mind."

Our relationship with God can experience the same tension. If we forget....

...to pray or can't make time for church we will have a hunger to return to God. But the greater the distance we create between ourselves and God's word, we run the risk of letting Him slip from our lives.

Is Your Relationship With God "Out of Sight, Out of Mind?"

Let me ask you…

How is your relationship with God? Is it, "out of sight, out of mind?"

The Bible says:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16, 17

The purpose of God’s word is not to touch just one area of your life but the power in it transforms your entire life. No area of your life remains untouched.

The Word of God changes you in every way.

Every moment you spend in God’s Word is another moment in communion with God.

What better thing to do than to prayerfully focus on a Scripture, to focus on the mind of God, and solidify His Word, His will, and His heart into your own heart and mind?

I invite you look at your relationship with God today and ask yourself.

Am I pushing my relationship with God into the category of “out of sight, out of mind”?

Ready to Strengthen Your Relationship With God Today?

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” James 4:8

The verse clearly says that you have to take the first step to come near to God. Else you’re like a double-minded person.

Decide who will you follow. It’s either God or it’s the enemy. There’s no middle ground.

I believe you chose God. That’s why we are here to be your partner in building a strong relationship with God so nobody can come between the Almighty and you.
